A Bit About Me

Jenny has been writing songs since building snow houses in northern Manitoba, beginning at the age of 5. She wrote, recorded and performed with The Welfare $starlets, a Winnipeg band from 1990-1995.

She then formed another band called Strange Angels, writing, recording and performing across North America.  She became a solo act in 2002 and has played with amazing musicians from Winnipeg and  British Columbia for the last twenty years.

A gifted songwriter, Jenny captures stories worth being told!  She has played festivals and has shared stages with many prominent musicians on a regular basis across Canada, including in Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver, and has been featured at Palapa Joe’s in a small fishing village in Mexico for the last 8 years

Dedication to Willy

Willy, Adios Amigo

Surrender, colours of light the rainbow

Flying gently over the blue bay

Stars alight, friendship never ending

We can feel the freedom of the universe

Play a sustaining chord on that rocket

Deepen your freedom

Live a light buoyant life, free

Love surrounds you

You’ve got on your favorite T

Black shorts and a joyful grin

Count us in, we all win

More fun and faith in us

Gracias, por la tequila and the mic!

A combination we all revel

New songs, old songs, songs we come to love Because of you

Your existence and generosity

Made us all grateful

In this temporary and fragile life

I can leave my woes at Palapa Joe’s

You and Kimberly made it so!

We love you Willy!
